Param Hansa Philanthropies (PHP) is dedicated to enhancing human life through the power of science and technology. This mission extends to supporting education and nurturing the next generation of leaders in critical fields. Our partnership with the Foundation for Excellence (FFE) is a key initiative focused on empowering meritorious students from financially challenging backgrounds across India.

The FFE-PHP Scholarship Program

The partnership, known as the FFE-PHP Scholarship Program, commenced in Fiscal Year 2022–23. This initiative represents PHP's commitment to creating opportunities for talented students pursuing professional degrees.

Financial Commitment and Scope

Under this program, PHP has committed to providing scholarships to 32 meritorious students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. The current cohort is evenly split between two crucial disciplines: 16 students pursuing engineering and 16 students pursuing medical programs.

These scholars are enrolled in demanding, long-term courses at institutions across India:

• Engineering: 4-year BE/B.Tech (Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology) programs.
• Medical: 5-year MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) programs.

PHP supports these students for the entire duration of their courses.

Beyond Financial Support: Holistic Development

While the primary focus of the program is providing financial support, the assistance extends beyond finances to foster comprehensive professional readiness. The FFE-PHP Scholarship Program includes critical components such as:

• Training
• Mentorship
• Career readiness programs

This holistic approach aims to propel students into successful professional careers within a single generation, effectively lifting their families out of poverty.

Program Highlights and Outcomes

The program emphasizes academic excellence and professional readiness:

• Academic Improvement: The average CGPA of engineering scholars increased from 7.72 in Year 1 to 7.76 in Year 2. Similarly, the average percentage of MBBS scholars rose from 61.17% in Year 1 to 62.32% in Year 2.
• Mentorship and Career Readiness: 11 engineering scholars completed a dedicated mentorship program with industry experts, and 4 career-focused webinars were organized for medical scholars in FY 2024–25.
