Led by Dr. Emma Lundberg, this collaboration focuses on generative image modeling for synthetic cell biology.

Short-term Goal: Write a perspective article on a new regime of whole-cell modeling powered by AI; Explore generative AI approaches to develop synthetic microscope images depicting the cellular organization of proteins.

Long Term: Form a new basis for how modeling of human cells as systems, that allows personalized cell models to be used for improving drug development.

Strategy: Deploy generative AI models such as stable diffusion, in relation to large microscope image datasets. Prototype what type of omics and spatial data that are most valuable for building such cell models.
